Building Process (As on Website)

• Initial Meeting– Building a house together is an undertaking that requires trust, communication, and compatibility in order to ensure a smooth process. During our first meeting, we get to know you a little bit and also gain an understanding of your specific needs and concerns. We will also discuss site evaluation, your design preferences and ideas, cost considerations, and tentative start and completion dates. 

• On-Time and Within Budget for Pre-Sale Homes– Keith believes that a proper communication process with a client, upfront, leads to a smooth building process.  We take the time to ensure that all aspects of the home, including plans and all specifications, are agreed upon before writing a contract.  

• Designing Your Home- Whether you’re ready to build the dream home that exists only in your mind’s eye, you have your own plans, or you need Teresa’s creative design ideas, we are ready to help you design your home. We are proud to offer in-house design services that enable a seamless transition between the design stage and the building stage as well as hassle-free integration of adjustments, in case you have a new idea.

• Determining Cost- Being transparent about cost is a cornerstone of our approach to building a new home. We will price your home exactly the way you want it priced and will provide you with detailed specifications to ensure accuracy and eliminate confusion. No changes will occur without your express knowledge and consent. We strive to ensure that the cost of any changes, required or requested, will be held to a minimum.

• Financing– Selecting the right lender is critical to a smooth buying process. We work with several local lenders and can connect you to one that fits your needs. Sometimes we are able to offer in-house financing for the build. 

• Construction– This is the fun part. We encourage you to visit the construction site as frequently as you wish in order to enjoy the unique experience of watching your home emerge from the ground. Throughout the construction process, we are dedicated to open communication and there will be times that we meet together to discuss specific construction milestones and to keep you informed of building progress.

• Your New Home– Walther Custom Homes wants to make sure you are completely satisfied. Prior to move-in, our team will be on-hand to make sure every detail is not only to your approval but to your liking. We will also walk you through operational and maintenance information for your new home’s features.

Warranty

Walther Custom Homes personally handles warranty issues with their team being just a phone call away for any reason. They also have a standard 2-10 Home Warranty that covers you for up to 10 years, but Walther Custom Homes personally ensures a top to bottom 1-year warranty with Keith stating “We personally back a top to bottom 1-year warranty that is separate from the 2-10 Home Warranty. However, if something happens 1 year, 5 years, or 10 years from now, I make clear to all my clients to call me first, so I can ensure the problem gets fixed correctly by the best people for the best price.”
